It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
Driving home from picking our son up from school, I noticed that things had changed around the area that I lived in. New houses are being built daily. The village's landscape is changing to accommodate more traffic created. Driving towards the RAF base, I realised how much the base had changed. At least the town I live in is familiar to me. It always seems to stay the same!
The same is said about our Christian journey. We like things to be the same. It brings comfort and reassurance of being safe and sound. However, it is time for new things to come from the Holy Spirit.
I love when the seasons change! It brings a sense that new beginnings are going to emerge. You feel the shift in atmosphere as summer changes into fall. The kids go back to school from their summer break. The temperature gets more relaxed as the night increases and the daytime decreases.
I believe that as in the natural, so in the spiritual. 1 Corinthians 15:46-49. We are starting to move into the new and profound things of the Kingdom of God. We are learning new mysteries from the Godhead that will transform into their image and likeness through love and relationship.
Are we ready for a change?
We have to count the cost of moving into the new things of the spirit. It will be challenging because we are so used to how things are in our Christian walk at times. The Holy Spirit wants to release spiritual hunger in our palate for fresh revelation to come into our hearts and minds. It takes determination to buck the trend of familiarity.
Are we ready for a change? I sure hope so! You see, this change is about maturing in Christ! We can't stay babies forever. It's time to grow up! Hebrews 5:14.
Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to [a]perfection, not laying the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment again. 3 And this [b]we will do if God permits. Hebrews 6:1-3.
We want to enter into the mysteries YVHV intends to release through Christ, but we must trust what he will show us. He will show us new and profound insights that we have never seen before. These insights were hidden before the foundation of the world. We have to make a choice to want to leave the elementary principles of Christ. We need the courage to move on into the new, captivated by what God reveals through His word in our hearts and minds.
As with my drive home, I'm receiving the upgrades from the Holy Spirit about the new things in the Kingdom of God that he is revealing to me, which are life-changing, challenging and exciting. It is changing my perspective on how we minister to the Godhead as kings and priests. Rev. 1:5-6
